    Looking for a place to make a difference and spend your summer outside? Do you have a passion for summer camp, high adventure, crafts, outdoor skills, STEM or empowering girls, teens and young women then Camp Timber Ridge is for you! We have 240 wooded acres right outside the city center of Atlanta in Mableton/Smyrna Ga area. We are a true camp complete with a lake for canoe, kayak and paddleboards; archery; challenge course; zip line; giant swing; miles of hiking trails; arts and crafts; large swimming pool and climate-controlled cabins and dining hall.  During the summer we operate a premier day camp in the Atlanta area for girls PreK-9th grade and a residential program for teens 9th-12th grade.

     

    We are looking for dynamic young women to provide a top rate camping experience for your girls.  All staff will live and work on camp starting the end of May until the start of August. As the Admin Coordinator you will help make all the details of camp line up right. A typical day could involve responding to parent phone calls, checking camper paperwork, and talking campers to the gate for early pickups. You will be part of the team working behind the scenes to keep camp running smoothly.

     

    A typical day for staff begins a little before 7 am and wraps up around 7pm except for overnight nights. Staff can expect 2 hours off each evening. Staff can expect to have Saturday’s off and Sunday mornings each week. Staff applying should have a willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure the girls have a fantastic time while at camp and be 100% girl focused while in your care!

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Participate in supervisor training prior to camp.
    • Help plan and implement staff orientation and training.
    • Review camp minder 2 weeks prior to the start of the session and work with parents to get all forms uploaded and completed.
    • Answer the phone and provide customer service to who is on the other end.
    • Ensure all office and administrative functions are completed each day
    • Assist with check-in and check out.
    • Interpret and administer personnel policies as well as ACA and Camp guidelines.
    • Process camper paperwork during check in and out and ensure all is completed in Camp Minder.
    • Take camper mail to mailbox each day
    • Oversee the sorting and delivery of mail.
    • Lead or assist activities as needed.
    • Alert camp director of any potential problem situations.
    • Take pictures of campers daily for website and assist with uploading of the photos.
    • Observe and evaluate camptivities and unit activities
    • Carry out other duties as designated by the camp director.

    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Ability to communicate clearly
    • Ability to operate telephone, computer (Microsoft programs), fax and copy machines
    • Supervisory experience or participate in supervisors training
    • Ability to problem solve and make decisions
    • Demonstrate ability to guide, motivate and coach staff members
    • Ability to work as part of a team
    • Preferred minimum age 21
    • Ability to walk over rough and uneven terrain
    • Ability to lift 25 pounds
    • Must be able to complete & clear a Criminal, and Sex Offender background check
